How long ago was your return accepted?

Sometimes people get confused by the “summary” given by TurboTax and use the wrong amount for the federal refund. Make sure you are only using the federal refund amount, and not an amount that combined your federal and state refunds.
Your federal refund amount is on line 20 of your Form 1040

I have this issue too. I e-filed with Turbotax on May 6th. I got the email that it was accepted by the IRS that same day. I ended up owing this year and I want to pay online so I made an account on the IRS website. But they are not showing that I owe because they are not even showing that I filed. Yet it's almost 2 months since Turbotax sent me the tax file accepted by the IRS email. I'm not sure about just blindly mailing a check to the IRS for something they aren't even showing.
What does your E-file status say on TurboTax?
Sign in to TurboTax to check your current status. You'll find it in Tax Home after sign in.
If you used TurboTax CD/Download you can check your e-file status by opening the File menu and selecting Check E-filing status or by opening your return, selecting the File tab, and selecting the Check E-file Status header.
Keep in mind:
Where’s My Refund? follows your return from receipt to completion. Do not enter a refund amount if you owe tax. If you owe tax, use this link to pay by 07/15
It says file status accepted and the date it changed to accepted was May 6th.
The return was accepted for processing ... however they are not in a hurry to process balance due returns right now ... their focus has been on stimulus checks and returns with refunds ... balance due returns are way down on the bottom of the to do list this year. Normally they are not processed until after 4/15 so this year expect it to be 7/15 or later due to the virus situation.
