What if we received a 1099-MISC and have never received the amount that it states we did. Also when we contact them, they ignore us? Do we still have to file it?

On the form, it doesn't show who it's from but a major bank on the east coast (we're in the west coast) and no one is giving us answers. We've contacted them for a month straight.

If there is a tax ID number listed for the issuer (in this case, the bank) and your social security number (or your tax ID #) is also listed, then, yes, you MUST include this in your tax return.
