What do I do if I already filed my 2020 taxes and claimed the recovery rebate, but then I received my stimulus check?

The IRS is no longer sending out stimulus checks. If you didn't get the first two payments, you can file a 2020 income tax return.

The amount will be added to your refund as a Recovery Rebate Credit.

If you filed a 2020 return and never included any stimulus information, file an amended 2020 return.

For help, go to How do I amend my 2020 return?

If the IRS sent you a payment and you never received it, you can start a trace.

To start a payment trace:
