Webull produced bad file

Hi, I recently finished filing my taxes, and I got state and federal approval for my returns, but I just got a message from Webull saying their clearing agent produced a bad file that they have now corrected, so I need to re-download the new file and upload again . What can I do from here since I have already submitted everything?

You may need to file an amendment if the new file has different amounts for your income.

I am assuming you imported your information from WeBull.

The first step is wait until your receive your refund, since your state and federal returns have been filed and accepted.

Once you have received it you can amend your return.

If you used TurboTax Online:

  1. Log in to your account, scroll down the first page and select 2022, then Amend using TurboTax Online.
  2. Answer the first few questions, then select your reason for amending.
  3. Your refund amount will change to $0, this is normal.
  4. Click on Wages & Income.
  5. Delete the import.
  6. Re-import the new file.
  7. If your refund or tax due are still $0, you don't have to go any further. This means that changes to your file do not affect your refund.
  8. If it is different, keep going until you submit your amended tax return.
  9. Be sure to do the state as well.

If you used our CD/download product:

  1. Open up your return and select “Amend a filed return.”
  2. Answer the first few questions, then select your reason for amending.
  3. Click on Wages & Income.
  4. Delete the import.
  5. Re-import the new file.
  6. If your refund or tax due are still $0, you don't have to go any further.
  7. If it is different, keep going until you submit your amended tax return.
  8. Be sure to do the state as well.
  9. Keep going until you submit your amended tax return
