I filed my taxes with Turbotax and applied for the "advance refund". When I filed Turbotax says that my filing was accepted, and I will receive my money on my creditkarma card. Well it's been over 3 hours and I haven't received my money. I talked to a representative and they are telling me that the filing has to be accepted and approved by the irs to receive the advance. I told them that everything on there site says it just has to be accepted not approved, the money will be deposited instantly from as low a 60 seconds up to 15 minutes.
After That call dropped I got in touch with another rep.I told them the same thing after she tried to tell me the approved line again. She looked into it and said yes it has to be just approved, but it should take 24-48 hours to receive the advance. I think she is till thinking about after it is approved, so I really need help. How can I get my advance deposited ASAP?

When you e-filed, your return went into "pending" first-----it waits there until the IRS either accepts or rejects the e-file. No one's e-file is accepted by the IRS within minutes.
When you e-file your federal return you will receive two emails from TurboTax. The first one will say that your return was submitted. The second email will tell you if your federal return was accepted or rejected. If you e-filed a state return, there will be a third email to tell you if the state accepted or rejected your state return.
First, check your e-file status to see if your return was accepted:

What does it say for your e-file status?
Honestly, right now that is the million-dollar question. Seems there are a lot of us that is still waiting and have not heard anything. The past 2 year I have got my advance exactly as they promised. advance received within seconds of being accepted and way before the official date IRS starts accepting returns. I think Turbo Tax messed up with our taxes and requests this year for the advance. They just owning up to the mistake.
Did it ever chime through? Going through this currently. Please let me know. Thank you!
