Not sure what you are upset with.   You are will within a normal time frame for processing an income tax return.  And it is not clear what refund you are expecting if you did not enter any income--just a "paper from school."

TurboTax gives you an estimated date for receiving your refund based on a 21 day average from your date of acceptance, but it can take longer.  “21 days”  is not a promise from TurboTax or the IRS.

First, check your e-file status to see if your return was accepted:

https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/efile-status-lookup/

Once your federal return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS has any control.  TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.

You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount  (line 35a of your 2024 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:

To track your state refund:

TurboTax has no control over when the IRS or any state will process your return, once they have been “accepted” by them.

The IRS issues most refunds within 21 days, assuming that there is no delay and nothing is holding your return. Some returns are subject to an automatic hold due to the Path Act when certain credits are claimed.

If you are a full-time student and claim student credits on your return, such as the American Opportunity Credit (AOC), your return will also be subject to the PATH Act rule.

The (PATH Act) prevents the IRS from issuing early refunds (before mid-February) on any tax return that claims the Earned Income Tax Credit (EIC) and/or Additional Child Tax Credit.  The PATH Act also affects credits like the AOC (American Opportunity Credit). You can expect your refund by "March 3rd" assuming that there is no hold or other issues with your return. For more information click on the link below.

When will I get my refund if I claimed the Earned Income Tax Credit or Additional Child Tax Credit?
