Hi guys. I have been dealing with this headache all week and I am hoping someone can help me. I've been an Intuit fan for a long time, use Mint for everything and TurboTax as well. I also am super meticulous and don't put in things without triple checking. However, I checked with the IRS this week and it appears that my refund had been deposited April 12. I hadn't seen those payments post in my account so I went back to my TurboTax filing and saw a RANDOM Chase account posted. I use Chase as well but this account number was very different and longer than my usual one. Now TurboTax's advice in the Q&A docs is to contact the IRS or Chase but neither of them will help me. I am asking TurboTax to do a detailed incident review to see what happened because apparently, I wasn't the only one who didn't receive my return (there are other posts in the forum about it).

Do you happen to have a brokerage account or mutual fund account that also uses Chase bank for its deposits and cash balances?
If you do, perhaps the bank numbers you see could be for the bank underlying your brokerage account or mutual fund account. Check your brokerage/mutual fund account to see if your Federal refund ended up there.
Thanks for the help. Weirdly enough it ended up in my Schwab acccount which had a Chase routing number. Anyways, thanks so much!

You're welcome. I suspected that might be the case. I think that can happen sometimes if one imports the financial info from a brokerage/mutual funds company. In some cases, the direct deposit info for the investment company's cash account might be imported as well. There may be a way to choose for it to import or not import the bank info on the import screens (at least it did at one time in the past), but I don't have a way to test it.
