I would suggest that TurboTax remove these suggestions (circled in red) from the splash page that displays when tax filing is completed. I had already paid my tax bill through the TurboTax interface but these messages confusingly suggested that was not the case and redirected me to the IRS website where I inadvertently paid the bill a second time and now am forced to wait for the IRS to flag the duplicate payment and refund it to me. The earliest they can flag a duplicate payment is 14 days after it is posted to their system, and the IRS agent I spoke to on their phone help line had no idea or estimate of how long it would take for them to issue a refund of the overpayment after that 14-day period. This is essentially bad and confusing design on the part of TurboTax.
