Why do I have to wait almost the whole 21 days for my tax return I thought turbo tax would be a lot faster

TurboTax has no control over how quickly the IRS processes your tax return. No tax preparer has any control over how quickly the IRS processes your return. The 21 day time frame is what the IRS publishes as their average processing time for an e-filed return. Once your return is submitted to the IRS it is completely out of the hands of TurboTax or any other tax preparer.
