turbo tax file now blank

I electronically filed my taxes and paid them.  I recently needed a copy of my 1040 and when I opened TurboTax I updated as needed.  When I got to my file it was blank.  how do I recover the file or get a copy of my 1040 from you

TurboTax does not have a copy of a return you prepared using the CD/download.   That return is only stored on your own hard drive or any back up device you used.   Search your hard drive for the tax file and/or the pdf you should have saved.

You can get a free transcript from the IRS or for a fee of $43, an actual copy of your tax return.
