Turbo tax 1040X

I submitted my taxes and realized that I DID receive the $1400 last March (2021). In creating my 1040X, I removed the $1400, which lowered it to $0. However, my taxes did not change. I OWED taxes this year and assume that I would owe another $1400. But, the taxes didn't change. Can you explain? Thanks.

Hope you did not file that 1040X. The IRS is looking for that mistake and they correct it for you. You do not need to amend for a stimulus mistake.
