I receieved letter from irs letter 4883c . verify identity. i called and all went good. now they say up to 9 weeks before i get return ?

On the phone with the IRS now. From what I am gathering my identity process didn't take. On hold right now to see what is going on. Let's hope this is all it is.

Off the phone will them. Everything is good but my verification of identity was on Feb 7th and they said I will have no later than April 9. Just good to know it's coming at this point. She did say that was the maximum but I could get it sooner.

Everything that sanders06 said is right on the money. But do not call that number unless you get the letter though. Once you get the letter then call. Once they verify everything then the process should take about 10 - 14 days. If you check your transcript online and you have a transaction code that say 846 then that mean yiu are getting a refund. Now if you check you transcript and say 846 but go to where my refund and dont see no bars yet be patient and within a few days you will see some and then you will have a ddd date.

WMR updates once a day usually over night. If you just verified a week ago you will probably be waiting at the very best 2 to 3 weeks. I confirmed on the 7th of Feb and still have nothing although a nice lady at the IRS did tell me I would for sure have it April 10th

Verified feb 13th still nothin... basically going to assume if you've verfied over the past 3-4 weeks you're going to have to wait full 9 weeks... great.

Did anyone else get the email from TT asking for the payment of the tax service even though their refunds hasn't been processed yet!? The nerve of TT to send that email while still waiting

Yes I got the email from TT also. I think it said pay by March 31st. They will just take it out of my account. They done that to my son last year. He woke up to find his account had been debited in the amount he owed TT for doing his taxes. But I seen that a # was on the email and wonder if I called if they could wait a little longer.

Wow I find it shocking that we have to wait for our tax refunds yet they cannot wait to get their money from the tax refund option that didn't even serve its purpose if that isn't terrible customer service no patience for the fact the return is delayed or anything

Is there a further delay for people that has EITC and ACTC? I had to verify in person. I'm hoping it's not the 9 weeks as they stated.
