This was my first time filing and previously did not receive a stimulus check. Since I have now filed will I receive a stimulus check?

No stimulus check.  TurboTax will calculate the amount of stimulus based on the 2020 tax information and add it to your 2020 refund if you have not already received the payment.

You already filed?  Did you see the screen with 2 boxes to enter  any Stimulus payments you already got?  You should have entered a 0 in each box.  Then any amount you qualify for will be added to your 1040 line 30.  Did you get an amount on line 30?  Unless you are a dependent.

I did not receive a number in line 30 and I did file as a dependent. But I did hear that dependents are receiving one this time if we file

Oh Dependents don't get the first or second one.  The person that claimed you gets it, if you were under 17 in 2020.  Then for the 3rd one if you are claimed as a dependent you don't get it but they do no matter how old you are.  Hope that makes sense.
