Although you were able to efile before that, your return would have been
stockpiled with many others. Today the IRS will start pulling them for
processing.
Normally a return should be "pending" no more than 24-48 hours,but since the returns will be backlogged as they start up today, it's unknown how much longer you will be waiting to receive an acceptance/rejection notice by email.
