Where did you get the date--from the IRS or TurboTax website?   Any date provided by TurboTax is an estimate based on averages.

Has the IRS actually released your Federal refund?    What is showing with this tool at the IRS website?

Once released, the IRS says to allow up to 5 days due to variations in different banks' processing times.

Also did you have any TurboTax fees that you chose to pay out of the Federal refund?  If so, then an intermediary bank is involved that we can tell you about.   If your Federal refund has been sent, we can tell you how to check on its status at the website of the intermediary company.     If you did not use this option, then this paragraph will not apply to you.

Did you see the other questions above?  You need to answer all questions.  What do you see at that IRS website that I provided the link for?

We don't know what email you mean.  This is a public user community.  For your own privacy/security please do not post personal info in the public forum.

Go to the IRS website at this link and check to see if the IRS has released your refund.    There is a blue button there that says "Check My Refund Status."     What do you find out when you use this tool:

Got it.. Also what’s the name of the bank that actually releases the money into the accounts?

There are 2 possible banks (I've named them below).   You don't actually contact the bank.  You contact the company that administers that process--Santa Barbara Tax Products Group (SBTPG).   I've left an answer below that explains how that works, and how you can even sign in at SBTPG's website to check on the status there.  I also left info on contacting SBTPG if you need to.

If you chose to pay your TurboTax fees out of your Federal refund, your funds will first go to a temporary account at an intermediary bank--either Civista Bank of Sandusky, Ohio, or Green Dot Bank.  At the intermediary bank the fees are subtracted, then the rest of your funds are sent on to your bank (or prepaid debit card) in a second deposit.  The company that handles that is SBTPG (Santa Barbara Tax Products Group.)

Less commonly there can be delays at the intermediary bank, and additional ID info, etc. might be required.

If for any reason the second deposit fails (the one that is actually to your bank or card), it will bounce back to SBTPG's bank who will issue you a paper check in the mail.

Once the IRS has released your funds, you can log into your temporary account at SBTPG to see the status of your funds.

To log in, choose the taxpayer portal at:
https://www.sbtpg.com/

SBTPG also has a 24-hour automated phone line with information about your refund, as well as live support during the day.   Here is the contact page.  At the page below scroll down to see the Live Support number and 24-hour automated support number.

Use this tool to see if the IRS has actually sent the funds.

Have the funds been sent?

If the funds have been sent, then the IRS says to allow "up to 5 days" for the deposit due to variations in different banks processing times.       If you confirm the funds have been sent, then keep checking your temporary account at the SBTPG website periodically as mentioned above.

The IRS just started accepting returns on 1/29/18.  When did you file your return that you have a DD already?  That's great to hear.  Maybe people will get their refunds fast this year.

Some small number of returns are pulled early by the IRS each year prior to their official opening date, so some TurboTax users did receive acceptance notices in the last couple of weeks..   The vast majority of returns didn't start processing until January 29, and even then, at startup each year the IRS pulls the stockpiled returns in batches.
