I received the message Take Action: Your refund is delayed Reference code 1541. Never seen that in the history of filing my taxes ! Anybody else seen this?

I was told my 45 day wait to started Jan 25th. Which means thats takes it to April 11th. But I was told that im under a regular review right and the rep couldnt tell me if I was gonna have a letter sent ir not. He said right its just under review and they have 45 days to reveiw and send a letter and said if I dint have my refund by April 12th to call. WHAT THE FUCK. I been told from the beginning that there's nothing wrong. And now this. But he also said that it could possibly be a verification of 1 or more things. No more than 4. Like, tax credit, income, business tax and something else. Only the first 2 would apply to me

This is insane- accepted 1/28 & went to 1541 on 2/16. I was patient and waited as I thought it was from the shut down. Keep checking everyday with no updates. Called the IRS finally today & was advised anyone with EITC or ACTC was held until 2/15 & then returns are starting to be processed and allow 21 days for updates. She indicated it could be 3/8 before the refund is sent out.

That’s what the representative said & that some may not receive their refund until 3/8.
She asked if I’ve received any letters or correspondence from the IRS in which we haven’t. My employment has been the same for 5 years  & dependents have been the same for over 15 years so idk. First year of this. A bit frustrated have so many bills to get caught up on from surgery & my dad passed away so have funeral cost since he didn’t have life insurance. Praying it updates soon.

I hate this but I was also told twice that I had no letters and nothing was wrong and then called today and was told I was under a 45 day review and the review doesn't start until March 11th!! I will never trust IRS representatives again!

@greybessie they said TurboTax is under investigation, I don't know the whole story behind it. It's some funny business going on, don't keep calling the IRS it will have your return under review because everyone keeps calling.

When I find out the entire detail I'll let you guys know. Just keep calm because we're all going through this "under review" crap TurboTax got some explaining to do!
