My bank account was closed and I have Direct DEPOSIT what happens now with my refund?

@48halls so on Where’s My Refund it had given me a direct deposit date and a date to call my bank if I didn’t receive those funds which is usually 5 days later. So I got a ddd for the 22nd and the generic message saying if it hasn’t been credited to you call my bank on the 27th. So then on the 27th or shortly after, Where’s My Refund had updated to my refund was rejected by my bank and a check would be mailed out by March 6th. Got my check 2 days later on the 8th. Where’s My Refund would update you on the status of your deposit or check.

Or the 9th. It was either the 8th or the 9th that I received my check but it was no more than two or three days within them mailing it.

Good to know b/c. My account is closed and it was tobe deposited today the 27 of feb. So once the back sends ot back to the irs they will send me a paper check??????

Same thing here my date was 27th my account was not activated in time so bank rejected my refund and sent it back as of yesterday. Is there anyway possible I can get the refund resent to my account that is now activated or should I not call and just wait on the check to be issued

Jdl1012. ......... As i found out i would just let them. Send the paper check in the mail this happens a lot according to the irs so they have there own default rules. When this happens

Donnie432....what are default rules and when I called today they told me 5 long weeks I’m so upset I need my money my son birthday is Monday . About how long will it take for me to receive my paper check

Really wow i was told once the back decaileds the deposit. The irs will make a paper check and send it out to me within 2 weeks

Thats what i got told bye the irs and a turbo tax supervisor that my paper check will not take that long before i get it

Ok I’ve been reading a couple of other places and everyone is saying once irs gets the rejected refund back it takes maybe 7 days for it to b changed into check and sent out so basically a 10 day process I hope this is legit information and it works like this for me I can take the 10 days to 14 days but 5 weeks yea tf right! Also iceberg heard they told people 5 wks so people wouldn’t call n every day asking where is their refund which sounds logical
