My screen says my taxes are filed but the return status says pending. Are my taxes filed or will the be late?

Taxes pending
Hi!
Congrats on filing. Woohoo!
Pending simply means that your e-filed return is on its way and that the government hasn't accepted or rejected it yet.
Keep calm and check back
Until your state or the IRS processes your return, you may hear there's "no record found." That actually means the return's still being processed. Just check back in a few days.
Good luck!
Tia

Taxes pending
Your taxes have been timely filed. They have not yet been accepted by the IRS or state agency, but as long as you submit them by April 17th, you are good. Even if your return gets rejected for any reason, you'll have 5 additional days after April 17th to fix anything that needs to be fixed.
