Taxes Assessed Not Itemized in Service Receipt

I was charged additional fees that I did not authorize after my Federal refund was processed. My TurboTax service receipt was for (3) items, (Federal Tax return; IL State tax return; Refund processing fee), totaling $167. I followed up with the IRS and confirmed that the refund was approved for the full amount estimated by TurboTax at the time of e-filing. When my Federal return was deposited into my account today, TurboTax deducted an additional $11.52 from my Federal return. I would have liked for these taxes to be itemized on my service receipt.

The $11.52 might be state sales tax on the TT fees.

Why would I be charged a State Sales tax fee on a Federal return? This fee has never been accessed before and I have done by taxes with TurboTax for several yrs.

Many states (some newly) charge sales tax on computer software and services (i.e., the Turbotax fees), which is what you used to prepare your Federal return.
