Tax verification

I filed on March 20. I don't know if it has been processed. We owed taxes and paid, I have the receipt from you. The money has not come out of our bank account. Help!

Tax verification

Tax payments for 2019 are not due until 07/15.  You can check your e-file status - see below.   You can use this IRS link to verify your account payments.  

 

Sign in to TurboTax to check your current status. You'll find it in Tax Home after sign in.

 

If you've got an Alexa device, you can enable it to check for you.

 

If you used TurboTax CD/Download you can check your e-file status by opening the File menu and selecting Check E-filing status or by opening your return, selecting the File tab, and selecting the Check E-file Status header.

 

Keep in mind:

  • E-filing status is what stage of the process your return is in.
  • Refund status is when you can expect your refund. If that’s what you’re interested in, go to Where's My Refund?

Tax verification

The receipt was probably for the Turbo Tax fees, not the tax due.  Your only proof of a tax due payment is your bank account.

When you efile you get back 2 emails.  The first email only confirms the transmission.  The second email says if the IRS (or state) Accepted or Rejected your efile.
