I made a terrible mistake on my tax rturn I put my madian name instead of married. what do I do?

May not be an issue.  Which name is on your current Social Security card?

If the IRS has a problem with the name and SS number associated with the name they will send you a letter in the mail.  If you e-filed your tax return and it was not rejected by the IRS that usually would indicate that the IRS did not have issue with the name and the SS number.
