Good Afternoon All

I filed my return and owed money.  I paid and was taken out of my account.  This was paid to the IRS.  This was done a day before the the new exemption for 10,000 for unemployment was enacted.  I understand the return will  be automatically amended but will the IRS reimburse for the money that I already paid them at that time.  Thank you all for your assistance on this matter

Yes, they will refund the any amounts pertaining to the unemployment. It may take some time for them to get things sorted.
