Substantially lower N.Y. Tax Return

I filed my taxes I was expected to get $2,700 from NYS. However I did rounded dollar figures so my state was audited, I sent in the requested information which outlined everything perfectly and showed my income perfectly. I do not owe anything in New York State. Yet I just received $612. This is nowhere close to what turbo tax states I would receive based on my numbers or anything.

i also recently amended my returns because we forgot my wife’s W2 from a job (which came late, we are due even more money via state and federal. Now I’m wondering what’s going to happen with this, this seems beyond corrupt!

If your state return was audited and your refund was reduced, you will need to contact the NY Department of Taxation and Finance to learn why and what was changed on your return.
