Hello! I need some clarification and help with my eligibility for the stimulus check. In 2018 my parents claimed me as a dependent because I was a high school senior and still lived with them. However, I moved out to my own apartment and am fully economically responsible for myself. I am a college student however, I have my own job and my parents DID not claim me as a dependent. I made sure to put on my 2019 taxes that no one could claim me as their dependent. Which means I should get the check right? I keep getting the generic error message “payment status not available”. I filed my 2019 taxes in early February, and received my return beginning of March. I am just confused because I keep hearing misleading information for both sides. Please someone help me out. I really need this financial assistance being an unemployed college student who provides solely for themself.
