Stimulus check

Filed tax return early with refund applied to 2020 taxes.  Did not need to enter bank routing number.  The IRS site claims no knowledge of the SS#'s.  How can the bank information be submitted in order to get Covid 19 stimulus?

I have never seen anyone with this problem before. If the IRS does not recognize your SSN, there is no way to enter your bank information and it brings into question why they don't have your SSN. Are you sure you entered it correctly?

It was a joint return and the IRS does not recognize either SS#.

Was your return Accepted?  It's hard to tell because you are not expecting a refund deposited.  Better double check they got your return.

You can check your efile status here

    https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/efile-status-lookup/

When you efile you get back 2 emails.  The first email only confirms the transmission.  The second email says if the IRS (or state) Accepted or Rejected your efile.

When you log into your account you should also see the status and if it was Accepted or Rejected, Started, Printed, Ready to Mail, etc.  What does it say?

Turbo Tax claims the return was accepted 2/19/2020

Many are still receiving that notice so it is nothing you or TT did wrong ... try every couple of days to see if you can add the DD info ... if you cannot then the check will be mailed to the address on the return.
