Software Updates and Taxes Updae

Files my 2021 taxes o/a 5-6 Feb 21. Went into the software packet to check the status of my e-filings. (Yes i know IRS not open until 12 Feb.  System made a couple of updates to my software.  How do I know that the updates made won't effect the tax data and refund noted when I originally completed and "filed" my taxes?

Software updates will not affect your actual return or tax data once you have submitted them for filing.

And if those software changes cause a change in calculations or such, how would that be handled?
