So I received a third stimulus check in May of 2021, and for some reason, I'm having to wait around to file my taxes now... Can anyone explain!?

Not sure why receiving the 3rd stimulus payment would cause you to wait around to file your 2021 tax return. That is not a reason to have to wait. You are supposed to answer the questions in Federal Review for the recovery rebate credit to say that you received the $1400 per person EIP payment.

Here's the screenshot of the page that shows up when I try to file, and as you can see, the box is checked stating that I received my third stimulus check. It will not resolve my issue no matter how long I wait or try.

That has nothing to do with receiving a stimulus check. That has to do with taking money out of a retirement account if you did so during the period from 2018 to 2020. If you did not do that then the "disaster relief" question does not apply to you.
