Sneaky. Your instructions say that you will have a chance to print your return after you file. Exactly correct. You don't say that you can't print the worksheets after.

First time I felt ambushed by Turbo Tax.

You can still go back and print/save your return with worksheets after filing.  Follow the steps below, but if you just filed, you will have to wait until your return is accepted by the IRS before the options below appear  -

  • Log into your account
  • Hit the My TurboTax (formally Taxes) tab and select My Tax Timeline in the dropdown menu
  • You should see your Federal and State returns and their statuses
  • Scroll down towards the bottom until you reach the section Some Other Things You Can Do
  • Choose Download All Forms and Worksheets:  This saves a more expansive copy of your return that includes all the forms and worksheets TurboTax used to compute your return even if they aren't sent to the IRS (this can be 100+pages so don't print it unless really want to)

I felt ambushed by TurboTax as well, right after e-filing I could not access the print center, and only the minimal 'just my tax return' PDF is available to print.

But I found a workaround that worked:

I clicked "Add another state", it immediately 'reopened' the regular TurboTax, and from there you can go to "Tax Tools", "Print Center", and was able to Include government and TurboTax worksheets.
