Return still processing

It has been over two months since I filed my taxes and the IRS website still says processing. My wife filed the same day and got her return a couple weeks after. Yes we filed separate returns due to the fact that we did have a rental property. We also had a newborn as well.  Anyone have any answers to why my return is still being processed almost 2 months after filing?

Return still processing

This is normal. It can take anywhere from a few days to 3 weeks to update and show the status. The 21 days is just an estimated time frame. The IRS began processing returns on 2/12, you may not find a record of it or the website may say that you have put in incorrect information when tracking your federal refund. As your return moves through the system, the status of it will be updated.

Your return is being processed means that your tax return is being processed.

Your status should change from being processed to accepted and then a date will be given for your refund.

Keep checking the IRS website each day for that.

Since Turbo Tax will not have the status of your refund, continue checking the Where’s My Federal Refund tool for updates. Updates are made daily, usually overnight.
