Removed dependent entries. No longer shows on Fed 1040, still shows dependent & exemption $367 on California 540. How to remove dependent from California 540?

California State 540 still shows dependent and exemption for Dependent even though I removed her in the early Info Screen.

Have you tried to delete the California return and start again? That might work. There isn't a separate California form for dependents.
