What tax year are you talking about? There is no stimulus check or stimulus credit for a 2022 tax return. The stimulus checks were for 2020 or 2021. Please explain how you were "shorted" by $1400.
2022. It's this Santa Barbara tax products group TurboTax uses that steals people's money
@dens900rr Have you checked the IRS refund site to see what refund the IRS says they issued to you? Does the amount the IRS issued match the amount that was on line 35a of your Form 1040?
When I go to the IRS refund site it says refund information can't be found.
If you cannot find information on the IRS refund site you might be using the wrong refund amount on that site.

Sometimes people get confused by the “summary” given by TurboTax and use the wrong amount for the federal refund. Make sure you are only using the federal refund amount, and not an amount that combined your federal and state refunds.
Your federal refund amount is on line 35a of your Form 1040
Please see this Help Article for possible reasons as to why your refund was less than expected.
You will need to contact TPG for information regarding your refund. They are one who handles your refund if you elect to pay your fees with your refund. You can also check out this TPG Refund Tracker to check on your refund.
