Reduced refund

My sister buys Turdbotax every year and does my taxes. By some miracle I got a refund. She filed my taxes and on my credit union monthly statement there is a deposit from Santa Barbra Tax Products Group. My refund was reduced for their fees which I did not authorize. You can have preparation fees deducted from your refund. My sister did my taxes so I should have  gotten my full amount by direct deposit from the IRS not the scammers. Turdbotax does not have any information on this scam company they use and you cannot talk to a person. I even made an account by still cannot get any help from their useless  customer no service. Does anybody have any advice or could help? This has been a frustrating experience. I will never again use Turdbotax is any future tax preparations direct or through someone else. Can’t trust anything these days.

Apparently your sister was not paying enough attention when she chose "refund processing" on your behalf.   When you choose to pay your TurboTax fees from your federal refund, you also have to pay a "refund processing fee" of $40 ($45 in CA) to the third party bank that handles the refund processing.  If you have your sister prepare your tax return again next year, tell her you want to pay your TurboTax fees using your credit or debit card before you e-file so that you will not incur that extra fee.
