Redownload 2018 TurboTax software

I received an email recommending I amend my 2018 return but I no longer have the computer where I installed the Deluxe version of TurboTax.  I have a PDF of my return but no way to follow the instructions listed on the TurboTax website for filing an amended return.

Any help would be appreciated.

You need the .tax2018 data file for your 2018 tax return in order to amend it. It was on the computer that you used to file the return. If you did not copy the file to your new computer, and you don't have a backup copy, you will have to recreate your original tax return using the 2018 software that you downloaded. You will have to make sure that the recreated return exactly matches the PDF of the return that you filed. Once you have recreated the original return, you will be able to follow the instructions for amending it.

Save a copy of the recreated .tax2018 file with a different file name before you start to amend it, in case anything goes wrong in the amendment process.

I received an email from turbotax notifying me of the Mortgage Premium Insurance deduction for 2018 returns.  I have my file but do not have the TurboTax 2018 Program any longer on my computer.  How do I redownload the 2018 program?

Did you purchase a download from TurboTax?  If so, you can re-download it.

If the download file isn't there, then look to see if you have multiple accounts (User IDs), and if the download might be in another account.  To get a list of your User IDs and recover account access, you can use the tool at the link below.  Try using your phone number first.    Once you know all of your User IDs, then try each one at the download link I provided above.

NOTE: Before running the account recovery tool below, log out of all Intuit accounts including this user forum, or you might end up in a loop.  Then clear your browser Internet cache, close your browser, then reopen it, and go to the link below.  You may wish to copy this link so you can paste it into the new browser session.

If still no luck after running that on your phone number and each email address you have, then run the tool yet again, but this time choose the small blue link that says "Try something else", and it will look you up by SSN and other parameters.

Thanks for your reply.  My issue was I purchased the download from Costco.  Spoke with a Customer Service Rep. and she was very helpful in getting a new download to me.
