As you are claiming your daughter as a dependent, her educational expenses on Form 1098T need to be included in your income tax return. If a corrected 1098T or a second 1098T has been received, you will want to file Form 1040X to amend your federal tax return, if the information contained on the recently received 1098T will result in an actual change to your return.

If for example, you are already receiving the maximum educational credit, and no information provided on this new 1098T will result in a change in the amount of that credit, there is no need to amend.
