Hello Amy,
1. So, it’s 3 years from April 15
2. If 1099-DIV/B more than $25, so I have to file it
This is my first experience with this so I want to make sure that I do things correctly
You should do nothing. Wait for the letter from the IRS - if they ever send one - and then worry about it at that point. They have a copy of the 1099-DIV. It is not worth filing an amended return.
For future years it sounds like you will need to wait to file your tax return until after you receive your tax form from Acorn.
Hello Robert,
Thank you for your advice and I’ll do that😊
