If you have not yet filed your tax return or if your tax return has been rejected, you can remove the dependent by following the steps below.

Sign into your online account and select Take me to my return
Select My Info in the left side bar.
On the Personal Info Summary screen, scroll down to the dependent's name and select the trash can icon to delete.
