for some reason turbo did not remind me about a 1099 R that I have every year so I did my taxes wrong. now I want to make sure I made no more mistakes and cant find the schedule A form. I looked at last years answer below and there is no tools to begin with and no where to choose any forms. I don't like the fact that I cant check my taxes now. as you get older sometimes you need to do this. I don't know if I used delux or not I know I paid for it. I also cant see that info
Print, save, or preview this year’s return and click in the box to select federal or state returns
Click on View or Print Forms to print the forms you need
·You can view the forms from here and select to print specific forms (Schedule A)
Or you can select forms filed with the government plus all worksheets
You'll need to sign in or create an account to connect with an expert.
You will not have a schedule A unless your itemized deductions are more then the standard deduction.
You can view it, but only in the forms mode that is available only for the desktop versions.
For 2018 many taxpayers that itemized in the past will find that they can no longer itemize because the standard deduction has doubled so all of their itemized deduction s no longer exceed the standard deduction.
Only if all itemized deductions exceed the standard deduction will it be of benefit.
Not all itemized deductions count the full amount. Medical expenses are reduced by 7.5% of AGI so if your AGI is $30,000, for example, then only medical expenses more than $2,250 would be an itemized deduction.
The 2018 tax law also caps the total of Sales tax OR State and local income tax, Property (real estate and personal property) taxes at $10,000.
You can check the actual amount of itemized deductions by using the Search Topics for "itemized deductions, choosing" (under "My Account, Tools" in the online versions). Click on "Change my deduction". That will display the actual amount of itemized deductions vs. the standard deduction. (Be sure to uncheck "Change my deduction" after checking it so you do not lock in the wrong deduction.
2018 standard deductions
$12,000 Single
$18,000 Head of Household
$24,000 Married Jointly
Add an additional $1,300 for over age 65 or blind
This amount increases to $1,600 if the taxpayer is also unmarried.

Hi, Your answer makes sense. I can now see the total itemized deductions. I would like to see the detail, however. Is there a way I can see the Schedule A that was a work in progress, even though my deductions are less than the standard? I would really like to see what TurboTax calculated for each type of deduction.
Thank you!
Yes. Switch to itemized as in my post and then print all forms and work sheets.
