On the IRS website today there is the makings of a portal to verify your payment type and update if necessary with a note saying in will be available mid-April. It was not there yesterday. So there ya go. We'll know in a few days whether or not it's scheduled to go by direct deposit to our turbo tax card or not.
I would think by now you have received your guidance from the IRS on whether we are getting our stimulus payments on the turbo tax card seeing that the IRS had started releasing the payments yesterday. So the burning question is.....will the stimulus payments be deposited to our turbo tax cards?
The irs has an update saying the direct deposit portal will be available at the beginning of next week. I don’t know about you but I’m putting my DD for bank account. The way turbo has treated us I don’t trust them with a penny
I believe @rainboz is correct. The Turbo Tax Debit Card is linked to an actual green dot checking account with a routing and account number. If thats where your refund got dispersed, its fair to assume thats where the stimulus check will go. I guess we'll all find out soon enough.
Have there been any updates?
Yay the question has been answered! Thanks to those who got through to an agent and came back to post 🙂
I think the biggest problem with the replies (I know this was the case for me) is that theres over 20 pages of replies and they are in chronological order, but only the first page is displayed from clicking on the google result. I hadn't noticed all the other responses until now! Thanks for looking into it everyone!!!
this doesnt break the tie. this is info we all know. breaking the tie would be saying yes or no to the question. @DaveF1006
Yea Ill never use turbotax again if i have to wait weeks for this money because i used the stupid turbocard
seems pretty logical to me aswell. @guitarman4875
wtf is wrong with these employees. when someone tells me information... its my choice to blindly believe it and spread it.. or look for substance. Turbo employees just repeating anything and everything they hear? @Jcordle89 thanks for some actual substance we can base our logical thinking on. ffs.
@Ajallday727 @Softnumnums you're welcome this cap is beyond crazy, and aj you can believe what you want boss but my post is from green dot bank themselves what you posted has literally been reposted over 100''s of times lol no one is actually sharing responses or reports like I did. But I'm gonna go with what green dot said to me and be patient.
@Ajallday727 -- I would agree that anyone with a card THAT WENT THROUGH SBTPG will be receiving a check. But not everyone with a card went through SBTPG.
if you didn't have your TT fees withheld from your refund, why do you think these folks went through SBTPG. There have been numerous posts of individuals stating that have a card but when they checked the SBTPG website, they had no account on file.... and they didn't have fees subtracted from their refund.
I swear the IRS better have the Direct deposit portal up in time. I've been using turbotax for 10 years. Every single year for 10 years. If i have to wait to get this stimulus money because i was stupid enough to get their turbocard, Ill never use it again. And all the family members and friends I do taxes for with turbotax will never happen again. Turbotax you better find a solution to this problem or your gonna be making a lot less money next year. Your gonna have a lot of unhappy customers on your hands...
Is this only for the people that actually had fees taken out tho? Because when you pay for a TurboTax fee, it has to go to SBTPG first, they take the fee out and then it's processed to the card's bank/green dot. But for those of us that's used the TurboTax free edition, we didn't have to wait for the funds to sent to a third party/SBTPG to have anything taken out so the refunds were already on the TurboTax card directly from the IRS when they sent it. I think it would be an issue getting the stimulus checks on the TurboTax card if the routing has to go through SBTPG first but if you have no fees taken out then the money doesn't go through the third party/SBTPG at all so the routing number/green dot bank account is the account it should be sent to. Could someone verify this?
