Will my e-filed amended Fed and State return amount owed be taken out by direct debit like my original taxes owed were taken out? No withdrawal date was asked.

Filed amendment electronically, owed a little bit more on federal and state. How will this amount be paid? My original return was already processed and completed and the amount owed was taken out via direct debit. This time I was not asked a withdrawal date unlike when the original taxes were filed. Do I need to mail a check or will this amount be taken out via direct debit once again?  Are there any forms I need to mail like a 1040-x or 1040-es or is this unnecessary since I filed the amendment electronically?

When you e-file an amended return, no payment is sent with the amended return.  You can either send in your payment with a payment voucher (1040-V), or you can pay Federal taxes owed on the IRS website.

For your State, there should also be a payment voucher, you can check your State's website for the voucher if it does not print, or you can check your State's website for their payment options.
