I submitted my federal and state on February 13th. My federal has already been processed. My state still says it's pending I did not get a rejection notice. I may try resubmitting as one of the other users mentioned in his post
I emailed the CEO of Intuit right after making my last post. received an email back almost immediately stating that my email was being forwarded to the "Office of the President". Shortly after that, I received this popular response:
"We know how important your refund is to you and we apologize for any delay.
Unfortunately, we noticed something in your tax return that may have caused it to be rejected. Your return will currently show as “Pending” while we do an extra review to assess the reason it was flagged, resolve it for you, or identify what you need to do to ensure everything is accurate and your return is accepted.
We will send you an email within 48 hours with confirmation that your return has been filed, or instructions for any additional steps that need to be taken to ensure an accurate return is accepted, and you receive every dollar you deserve.
We apologize again that this has caused a delay in receiving your refund.
Respectfully,
Chrissy
Office of the President"
Please advise procedure for resubmitting
How did you re-submit? It wont allow me to do that since my California shows as filed.
Yes! Please share how to re-submit since all of us need to know...
Please advise information on how to resubmit
Update:
As some of you know I received the same generic response from Jeremy.
That did not sit well with me so I sent a response and included the CEO and VP again.
This time the response was for more personal and not a canned message.
Here is what I can tell all of you in the same boat as myself.
Turbotax is working on proper instructions and will have something to us by the end of the week. Now not everyone will have the same response as there is a million different things which can be wrong but they are working on it and we just have to be patient.
Did they take accountability and apologize, No, and I made it clear to them the lack of clear communication was a big problem. But rest assured they are well aware of it and have a mitigation plan in place.
I received a rejection notice via email and all I had to was “fix error” which there was nothing to fix, then I re-submitted the return. If it’s in ‘pending’ mode, you’ll most likely have to wait until the return gets rejected which I’m sure is what will happen to everyone on here. Depending on your tax situation, some of the forms might have not been ready; and therefore, an incomplete tax return. I still blame TT for allowing people to submit before the forms were finalized. Mine was accepted within 10 mins after re-submitting. Best wishes to everyone!
I wanna say you can only resubmit if there are errors and fixes? I re-ran mine and there were no errors so says filed and pending.
It's day 3 for me and I'm still waiting also. From what gather from this convo , it sounds like s combination of CA delays and a glitch in Turbo tax!
Thanks! Hoping we all get that SAME message as what you got!
I e-filed mine on 1/18/2021 and it still shows as pending also. If the other person that replied said he e-filed on 1/14/2021 and it wasn't accepted until 2/14/2021, maybe mine will be accepted soon. Not very confident about that. I spoke with the FTB this morning and they have been receiving a lot of calls about this same issue. I would think that if FTB was the problem they wouldn't have suggested that I print and mail my return (even though I already e-filed). This has never happened to me in before in all the years I have been using Turbotax. Maybe I will have to try one of their competitors and just maybe if enough of us do that, they will get their act together and actually have customer service people that you can talk to instead of some convoluted menu that never gets you to a real person.
I just Just spoke to someone from Turbo tax explaining my concerns. They said that we should be receiving an email between 24 and 48 hours. If your return gets accepted that's great but if it gets rejected to call Turbo tax back. Do not just "submit" because that might create further problems. "Call TurboTax first"
Read my post above.
Just be patient and give turbotax by the end of this week to email you or even call you about your Cali return to fix the problem.
We are all in the same boat folks, at this point it requires a little patience on our part.
I am also having this issue. The state hasn't received my return, so it's a TurboTax issue and not a CA issue in my opinion. Especially as so many here are having a similar issue. I have no errors so it won't allow me to re-file. TurboTax needs to address this now!
