I am having this exact same issue - @GabiU why is there so much conflicting information about what is going on? As of today my CA state refund is still "pending" - my federal refund was accepted on 2/11 and both were filed at the exact same time.
I have not received an email from Turbo Tax saying that there may have been an error with a form, or entry, or that TurboTax is re-reviewing my state taxes - I have just been sitting here for a week now waiting for you to submit my state taxes.
It is mind-blowing that as if this post there are 163 other posts from your customers having this issue, with absolutely no useful information being shared. I have been a TurboTax customer for years, but if this is the sort of service we can expect when paying a premium price I am going to have to rethink using your product in the future.
Yes and No... some of the forms weren’t ready, yet TurboTax still allowed people to transmit the returns early.
My issue has been “fixed” as in my return was rejected and I had to re-submit. Now just have to wait for it to get accepted.
Update: RETURN WAS ACCEPTED WITHIN MINUTES.
No, CA ftb has no record of receiving my return, even though the turbotax rep insists it was sent 5 days ago.
I believe the problem is with TT and not CA.
Maybe a problem with transmitting the return to CA? TT records the return as being sent, but CA actually did not receive the return?
Possible but I'd still say it's highly unlikely given that many others have been able to file on the TT platform (and others) successfully. Also, given that TT 'support' continues to disseminate inconsistent and factually incorrect information is pretty telling.
Businesses have to understand that you are only as good as the service you provide when issues surface. It sounds like this is the first time most of us has experienced issues with our returns at turbo tax. This is the worst year for this to happen to hardworking people. I don't qualify for a stimulus check; which I know is irrelevant but first the IRS makes up some phony bologna excuse to delay the start of the season and now Turbotax can't get their act together.
I got through to support and they said it may be due to my taxes being long-form and I California needed some updated forms to process
yes TurboTax needs to step up and fix this situation immediately. Anyone please advise if you get resolution
Update for me:
Resubmitted my return after I received the rejection email and was accepted within minutes, with no changes needing to be made by me, just a resubmit.
Seems like turbotax messed up some of the forms on their side when they submitted and updated their software today to correct the issue.
Did you complain to TT and then get the rejection email or did the email just show up out of the blue?
Woke up this morning and the email was sitting there waiting. I didn't reach out to support.
I think it's CA rejecting them one by one before they come back and not turbotax sending them back to us.
Would you mind telling me when did you got the rejection email?
I guess what makes no sense is that the FTB is saying they haven't received them. I could understand it if they said rejected but they pending.
Times are in MST
Submitted my taxes on 1/28/2021, federal and Arizona were accepted on 2/15/2021, CA was rejected and email received this morning from TT around 8:30, resubmitted at 9:30, was accepted around 10 AM
Wow 21 days to get a Rejection email....this is going to be an ugly long haul for alot of people.
I had a big update to the software I had to download this morning, did that and still CA pending status. I went in and reviewed the state return and had the program run a check and no issues found. VERY FRUSTRATING
