Why won't TurboTax allow to efile an amended return for 2021?

I efiled my 2021 return last year and was accepted. I am amending 2021 this year and all indications are I am supposed to be able to do this if I efiled original return and the return was accepted. Both are true. However when I try to efile my amended return, it won't transmit my return due to the signature date being passed 12/31/2022.  Is there anyway around this to avoid having to send by mail?

Only certain paid tax pros can still e-file past year amended returns. You cannot e-file an amended  2021 return that you prepared yourself using TurboTax.  Your 1040X must be printed, signed and dated in ink, and then you need to mail it in.  Use a mailing service like certified mail so you will know the IRS received it, since you will have a long wait for it to be processed.
