According to the IRS website What to expect for Refunds This Year: The IRS issues more than 9 out of 10 refunds in less than 21 days after a return has been accepted. However, it’s possible your tax return may require additional review and take longer. Where’s My Refund? has the most up to date information available about your refund. The tool is updated daily (usually in the overnight hours) so you don’t need to check more often. Once the IRS sends the money to your bank the time frame for seeing the deposit in your account is based upon how quickly your bank accepts and deposits the funds.
It's been 21 days and I still haven't received it and my bank process deposits a day ahead so that's not the issue. Is there someone I could speak to regarding this?
You can call the IRS at 1-800-829-1040 because they are able to pull up your account and review it. There is a high call volume.
When calling the IRS do NOT choose Option 1.
Choose Option 2 after you choose the language.
Then Press 1
Then Press 3
Then Press 2, it will then transfer you to an agent.
