What's taking my refund so long? I have code 1541 on IRS site.

Monty everyone is fed up, including me!! No update for me and I was hoping irs would just correct and approve so I can have my refund but I’m not sure if they do that. I’m still waiting for a TA to call me.

I hear ya Ash. I’m so over it and I’m doing the same just waiting for the TA to call. I’m sure everyone has had just enough of the irs bull**bleep**. But I’m not quitting cause those **bleep**ers will never just fix it or give u ur money. And I’m not about to let them keep my refund cause they are a bunch of retards. I need it and I’m sure all of us on here need it. And no way in hell immletting them keep it cause if u don’t fight u will never see it

I contacted an advocate.. he had me fax him copies of w2s. I did. Im attempting to.claim hardship. On unpaid maternity leave and was heavily relying on that EITC cushion from my other child to weasel by and use for bills etc while i recoup. He told me he would put a stamp of urgency on my hardship claim but told me to expect it to take up to 3 weeks before it is approved. Woo hoo what an urgent matter huh. Ill be back to work by then. This was about a week ago. I called my advocate just to verify that he received my w2s and i havent heard anything since. He wont return my calls( which im sure he is extremely busy) however im panicking as are everyone else. And not knowing when or if im getying my refund any time soon is driving me nuts. I check the wheres my refund multiple times a day and still no update. It went from saying 1541 code to my refund being approved and to check back for status update but ot hasnt changed since. Ahhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!

Hey guys, I got a call this morning from my tax advocate,she told me that I'm getting my refund on the 20th! O first called about 2 weeks ago and then the advocate called me last week. And then I had to fax over a couple things to her last Friday and she called me today. So all in all it will take about 3 weeks. So if anyone else did the advocate thing just hang in there it will be coming soon. She told me it would take 2 to 3 weeks from when she called me and it's only ganna take a lil under 2 weeks
