What's taking my refund so long? I have code 1541 on IRS site.

For sure. I wouldn’t stress. They told me the same thing they told u so obviously something is up. Plus we all got the 1541 code and I was told I will prolly get a later sent out in a few weeks but he wasn’t sure but put it in my notes and I dont they they know what they r doing. Just keep checking for a date and if u don’t see anything by the 4th. Then call them back

I feel you 100%. Its is definitely frustrating dealing with being told multiple things. I can say I will NOT be calling them again. I will just pray for the best but I am expecting the worst, seeeing that this has never happened to me before. It has me scared to death literally. Workers or not, slow or not, shut down or not...we should not be lied to about OUR money. PERIODTTT!!!! I am praying for everyone!!

I completely agree but I wouldn’t be scared. U gotta think how many other people have been told the same and got the same code. I have seen hundreds with the same problem. Not just us in this group. Will just wait and see what happens. I got so mad and irritated with this and theirs nothing u can do but wait. And no they shouldn’t lie to us but they do. It’s the government and they don’t care.

Big facts! Like stop leaving us in the dark and be real with us. But I guess we have no choice but to wait we will never know what it would be and the reason why. I know people that has their refunds

I know a lot of people who have theirs or are getting it in a few days. Including family members and I either filed same day with one and another just filed a little over a week ago and they r getting theirs the same day. I think it’s just random and we r the ones getting screwed. They don’t care. To them we are a number I learned that with the military. And u can be replaced or forgotten.

Yeah I filed early January.. for tax act 153 for a week and now it’s 154 . Been that way for a month now..
