I filed my 02/24 and have the delayed message as well as the code 152
Yes, I had the topic 152. I filed 02/24, no date, nothing on transcript. It’s still saying it not even been processed and it’s been 3 weeks. Tried calling IRS and they are not taking calls due to the high volume of calls. So now it’s just a waiting game. I also heard there was suppose to be a big update on March 21st so hopefully I see something
Well, finally I have a dd date for 3/23. Took a long time. Filed on January 15th and got accepted the 24th of January. 2 whole months 🤦🏽♂️ But at least the wait is over for me. Wishing everyone the best of luck and I hope you all get your refund asap!
Update: Forgot to mention that I can only see my dd date on my transcripts. My wmr still has the “we apologize” tax topic 152 message so check your transcripts as mine was updated this morning.
Which category do you click for transcripts? 2 of mine say n/a and on account transcript its saying return never filed?? Im so confused
@Dorr2 @The bottom left, mine said that until last Friday then today it updated with my dd date… Took 2 months to not say N/A for me smh
Ty! Where on that form would you see your direct deposit date?
@Dorr2 You’re welcome. It is all the way at the bottom, last line.
@EarnzFgMine was very similar to yours. Mine was accept January 30th. I also get the same message on IRS. However, my transcript still says "N/A" where 2021 should be. Sounds like yours went through 6 days before mine, so I am hoping I see something by Wednesday then? By chance, do you have a lot of kids, I am wondering if the child tax thing is what is screwing with mine as I have 5 kids to claim.
update?
Still nothing! 🙄 sooooo frustrating
It crazy how it happens to me every other year. Sometimes it takes 14 days, then 21 days, then months. I remember in e2016 they took my taxes right after i had a baby.. I had a different topic back then. The other years it was tt152 and it was just delayed without any adjustments to it.
update? Anything/
2/2/22 - Federal return accepted
3/4/22 - Letter from IRS received. Asking for backup documents.
3/7/22 - Certified letter and documents sent to IRS
3/14/22 - Certified letter received and signed for by IRS
This same thing happened in 2020. My refund was delayed, but I got the full amount. This time the IRS letter actually suggested I consider using electronic filing in the future. I had to laugh because electronic filing is what caused the problem.
My question now is why any tax payer is asked for supporting documents when they already have them. Every W2, 1099, etc. I’ve seen comes with a warning that the same documents have been sent to the IRS. Is there more than one IRS, or is it just easier to ask me to send them?
The real kicker is I didn't even itemize. Turbo Tax recommended I take standard deduction.
But you didnt have to send in any further info to the IRS?
Do you mean after I sent what they asked for on 3/7/22? No, There isn't anymore to send. My wife and I are retired, so there were no W2s. Just some 1099s from Social Security and our retirement statements.
