We apologize your return is delayed on wheres my refund as ststus

I filed on January 30th. Well beyond my 21 days. Still no refund, and still same stupid message about being delayed from IRS. My topic code is 152, however, when I read that, none of those apply to me whatsoever.  And from what I am reading in this discussion, Turbo Tax is not very helpful. If that's true, this may be last I ever use them.

Like I'm so upset right now. Like there's people on here telling the SAME EXACT thing of what IRS is saying and doing instead of actually helping people. Like I've been sitting here with the same code for a WHOLE TWO WEEKS with absolutely nothing changing. I just want my money, this is ridiculous. And I feel like it's TT AND IRS. How come other people have gotten their tax refund but the only problems I'm hearing it from is TT. It's probably an TT problem and they have us all on backlog. I'm completely, frustrated and tired and just want my money.

@spacedgoats no one will be able to tell you anything because the IRS is holding everyone’s return to recoup the stimulus and money we received. There is no real issue to be concerned about. I was accepted on 1/24 and just got my money Monday. There is nothing we can do about it but wait at this point. I understand your frustration, but all you can do is wait!

Okay but YOU got your money Monday. I HAVE NOT, do you see the difference??? I have been waiting for more than 21 days and have gotten NOTHING, no word, no error, no letter, absoultely nothing and I HAVE bills to pay. I cannot just wait. And no all I can do is not wait because how the heck am I supposed to wait if I know they are sitting there holding my refund over nothing because there is no error on there. If there was, it would have been sent back. So why is my process being delayed.

Do you think you're the only person waiting on IRS?

IRS employees are quitting.

There's a huge backlog.

Your status doesn't update until something changes (approved is the next bar showing).

If your return is delayed, it means a person has to review your tax return.

As of February 18, 2022, IRS had 8.1 million unprocessed individual returns.

That's as of FEBURARY 18TH. When March 1st came through most of those millions of people have gotten their refund. A DDD or a transcript. Also, if you have read the thread carefully, people who have been on delays are starting to get their refunds. I have gotten NONE of those. Are you not understanding my frustration. I have gotten no UPDATE since last month. SO I'm stuck with a 152 CODE FOR A WHOLE MONTH.

@spacedgoats   Literally same here. Accepted January 24th,had the delayed message since my 18th day. Not a single thing on my transcripts either. It’s almost like I’ve never even filed yet this year smh.

I think we are all just waiting honestly. I filed And was accepted 1/28. Then had to wait to be approved.  Once approved I had to wait for it to be processed, then wait for the codes to be corrected, then had to wait to be reprocessed. Lol Just got my issue resolved yesterday.  Went from code 152 to 570 and 971. When I was at 152 they couldn’t tell me anything. There was more information available with the 750 and 971 codes due to my refund being processed and then finding an issue. Possibly would have had refund by now if not for those 2 codes. And it was due to them putting the wrong amount on my letters. I understand your frustrations, I’m definitely playing the waiting game as well.  I could be wrong but I think this is just a community of people that use TurboTax that are sharing our experiences. Anyone on here actually work for TurboTax?

THANK YOU. Why is everyone literally jumping on me like I don't know what isn't going on. Please, like I read the whole thread, I know what is going on. There's people who have been waiting longer than me and still have that status of 152 like we haven't even filed.  I called and a man there said that it didn't even look like I e-filed but only filed by mail which is not true because I used TT. Theres people who have LITERALLY gotten their DDD this month where people are still waiting for even an error. I'm upset to say the least.

I did, but I had to wait, I just got my date today. I too had to wait not knowing anything up until last I think Thursday I filed 1/28. Lol Blank transcript, accepted but not approved, processing but no info. Waiting because they messed up. You name it

i said all that to say I overstand your frustrations. However we still have to wait 

I’m still not counting my chickens before they hatch. I’ve seen people with a DDD date and are still waiting on their money lol

NY Times today:

WASHINGTON — At the Internal Revenue Service’s sprawling Kansas City, Mo., processing center, teams of clerks earning $15 per hour work through the night, trying to help the agency clear a backlog of more than 20 million tax returns that are a year overdue.

This number includes unprocessed 1040 tax returns, amended tax returns, other IRS forms that are filed by themselves, and other written correspondence.

After waiting and waiting I finally got my 846 code and my ddd this morning the wmr website is not a reliable tool for update to date information check your transcript

that’s good! I can’t even check my transcripts online and when I ordered it, it was empty lol. The guy told me I should have a uplift last night but nothing changed so now I am waiting again on the phone for them to answer.
