Thank you @drepici for your instructions!
I experienced the same TT print failures with Mac version Premium. The work-around solution was successful.
Thank you!
Thanks - I tried that before on checked the community but missed the PDf icon. so thanks for that last tip.
TT never behaved like this in all the years (many) that I used it - disappointing.
I'm not even getting as far as the PDF option.
Under the FILE option I choose SAVE FOR YOUR RECORDS
then I choose PRINT RETURNS which should bring up the print dialog box with an option to save to PDF, but the dialog box flashes and goes away with a beep-beep-beep sound.
It could be I need to enable pop-up windows. Does anyone know how to do that in TurboTax?
I should have added that I got the most recent update this morning and I'm using Ventura 13.2 -- am I too out of date?
I had same issue with the beep beep and no PDF file and I'mrunning Ventura 13.7.4.
I was able to obtain a full PDF file as I stated earlier and another poster the same.
I'm sorry to be dense, but where are you finding the PDF option please.
I don't see an option to Preview. Where is that, please?
I do see an option to Print for Review and that pop-up window does expand out to show a printer icon, which gives me a print dialog box with option to save a PDF -- but it generates a PDF of the pop-up window, not my tax return.
Hi kd-idaho,
Yes, mine is also the Ventura Version 13.7.4.
When you get to the "Print Returns" at "Save for Your Records" screen, you can click "File" located at all the way top left hand corner of your computer screen (not the "File" on the TurboTax screen.)
If "Safari" is shown right next to the Apple sign at the top left hand corner, you need to sign out of "Safari" and sign in to "TurboTax."
Then you can click the "File" at the top left corner of your computer screen and scroll down to "Export as PDF" to save the return on your computer to preview or print.
Hope it works now. If not, you may need to contact the TurboTax support.
Sorry it was "Save to PDF" and not "Export to PDF."
Thank you very much for your reply.
I'm using the download version of the application (not the online) so Safari never comes into play. And that seems to make the difference.
I appreciate your time!
Thank you, thank you from a grateful Mac user
What a FANTASTIC answer to something that should be easier.
Do better Turbo Tax!!
Finally.....someone who knows what they are doing.
Thank you.....
I finally followed your instructions *correctly* and had success. Many thanks for your time!
I have adobe reader and apple preview which both read pdf's. does not even go to print window! Never happened before!
