The IRS rolled out the "Get My Payment" tool here. According to IRS.gov, you can use the "Get My Payment" application to:
Yes I'm doing that repeatedly and still getting a technical error.
@josh45 - there have been reports of some technical issues. I'd check NO MORE THAN ONCE PER DAY and see if you can enter the appropriate information.
I am having the same issue. I have used Turbo Tax for many years and it has my correct Direct Deposit Information which I assume was sent to the IRS?
When I check the Get My Payment website it says I am getting a refund. It then says "You are eligible for this payment. We do not have enough information to direct deposit your payment at this time." When I try to plug in my direct deposit info it says there is an error 109 and that it cannot update my information at this time. I have done this for multiple days.
Any ideas what I can do?
@gregberge - probably just sit tight. The IRS call centers are closed due to the pandemic.
the paper checks are going out income order
week of April 24 - incomes under $10k
week of May 1 - incomes under $20k
week of May 8 - incomes under $30k
etc
Unfortunately we are middle class and probably won't be mailed a check until June. I had to close down my business and it's just me, so I get no federal relief like other "small businesses" like Fred Anderson Toyota. I did get a sizeable refund in 2018 through TurboTax but could not get the IRS website to accept my data. I am hearing that TurboTax and other online tax filing services like H+R Block have direct deposit information on file but aren't releasing to the IRS. If that is true, and TurboTax is covering it up, then I will take my business elsewhere starting in 2020. We can't afford to keep losing time and money.
The only direct deposit information that the IRS did not receive initially from TurboTax was for those filers who had the TurboTax fees paid from their federal refund. The same thing happened with all the tax preparation companies who offered that service. For those filers, the IRS will issue a paper check unless the IRS and all the companies are able to work out an arrangement for their direct deposit information to be sent to the IRS.
The direct deposit information for all other filers was transmitted to the IRS.
That would have been nice to know. But my 2018 information is apparently stuck in tax refund purgatory?
@josh45 - did you check the website and try to update your direct deposit information?
Check the IRS website for status of the stimulus payment and update your bank information if necessary.
AGI is line 7 on your 2018 return and line 8B on your 2019 return. Refund is line 21a of the 2019 tax return. and line 20a for 2018

Only 2-3 times a day every day, using both 2018 and 2019 info, using both my and my spouse's SSNs. It said I was eligible but when I put my direct deposit info in, I keep getting the dreaded 109 error.
UPDATE 4/25/2020:
The IRS has fixed their website and accepted my bank account for direct deposit this morning. So nice to not have to wait 2 more months for this!
Just worked for me now, they updated the website.👍
