My iMAC is running MAC OS V 13.7.3.. with problems as all folks. So I've been using work around. (
No water mark issues)
SAME HERE! Any resolution yet?
Thank you!
I too have the same problem of unable to print my returns. Either state returns to file or even my own fed and state for my records. I have to think many others are having this problem (or will on or before April 15th).
Intuit needs to make this a priority.
I just started my adult daughters's return (transferred data from 2023 return). She plans to come over to do her taxes in a couple of weeks. I wanted to make sure that this new return can be printed with the workaround posted in this discussion. First TurboTax did an update (so I was a tiny bit hopeful that they may have fixed printing problem).
Unfortunately the printing problem is still there. BUT the workaround does still work. So we will use TurboTax for her return.
That said, I plan to use something else next year. Even though I will have a new Mac by then and the program will probably work, their customer support and terrible communication is unacceptable. In fact, I just reviewed their product on Amazon and mentioned thius discussion group's problem.
experiencing all of the frustrations you mentioned. pdf, Acrobat, print from Acrobat...same result, looks like it is preparing to print and then does not. Then I saved it to a flash drive and put it in my old relic of a computer which did not have 2024 Turbo Tax installed. Pulled up the file, opened in Acrobat and it printed!!!
mjgreen925, did you try the workaround I posted yesterday afternoon (again), a few posts below your posts?
If not, give it a try. It should work for you, since you're getting the pinwheel versus "the crash." Let me know how it goes!

jake4197, did you try the workaround I posted yesterday afternoon (again) ... go back several posts before yours and you should see it there. Unless you have an older Mac with an incompatible macOS, I think it should work for you. Please let me know how it goes ...

I did exactly what you did. I can save a pdf as a result of this work around, but every page says Form Not Final, Do Not File underneath. And yes, my tax returns were filed and accepted.
Mauro, your method worked for me. Thanks.
I think Intuit owes you for proactively sharing your "workaround" for their printing bugs.
This actually worked! Thank you!!!
I am having the exact same issue and have been for a few weeks. It is ridiculous that no one can fix this issue. I completed another update today 2/13/25, and still it didn't help. The following is a post from someone else and I was able to get the return to print. It is not ideal, but it did work for now.

Work-around until Intuit fixes the print function.
1) Use the "Save to PDF" option in the "File" menu of the desktop program and save a copy of your returns to location you can easily find on your computer.
2) Open the PDF of your returns in your PDF reader program (acrobat, Preview, etc.) and use that program to print to your local printer.
Worked for me.
Not solved as of 2-13-24. PDF not work for me. Print Active Form one of my favorites not working. great for print screen you're working on to be used as a printed crib sheet for data entry like depreciation screens. Got Print Preview to work finally. But not all schedules or worksheets etc show up in Preview. been user of MacIntax and TurboTax since 1986. Many years of issues but printing is the most basic of tasks. fix the **bleep** program. should not have to spend all our time investigating and searching for workarounds. may change to different program next year. TT wants us to use online program and e-file. More profit. I don't e-file, won't pay for my big tax return to file when I can use couple of stamps. I use Mac and desktop program of TT. Fix the Program. Good luck to all purchasers who appear to be scammed this year. I feel your pain.
I just yesterday updated my iMac to Ventura 13.7.4, the latest version available to me. (I know Sequoia is a more recent version, but it is not available to me. According to Apple "Your Mac is up to date.") I updated Turbotax just now. And still no printing.
I've bought HR Block 2024 Deluxe + State. Installed it. Loaded the data from my first return. And GUESS WHAT! I COULD PRINT OUT A DRAFT RETURN. IT LOOKS PERFECT.
I am done with Turbotax. I've done returns with Turbotax since 2014. But their product quality and customer service has been revealed to be completely incompetent. If you are interested in why I say that, you can read this thread. But I can't in good conscience continue to use a software from a vendor that is incompetent. Who knows what other defects are buried in the software, ones that are less obvious than failure to print, that I won't catch.
Sayonara.
I am with you. I try to print my returns and I get the spinning beach ball. After a few seconds, I get the "boop." I don't even get the option to print to PDF. It just stops.
